Liang Huang

Liang Huang is a patent litigation attorney at Maschoff Brennan, where his practice encompasses patent drafting, prosecution, and intellectual property disputes. His technical expertise spans a wide range of sophisticated technologies, including 5G telecommunication devices and networks, artificial intelligence, LiDAR, drones, virtualization, mobile applications, integrated circuits, power electronics, semiconductors, Internet applications, medical and mechanical devices, and LED materials and circuits.

Huang's experience includes representing clients before the USPTO in post-grant proceedings, such as reexamination, reissue, and inter partes review (IPR). This is evidenced by his appearance as Attorney for Petitioner in IPR2022-00915. While the tracked case shows a plaintiff-side appearance challenging a patent, Maschoff Brennan notes it represents clients on all sides of intellectual property disputes, including enforcing patent rights and defending against infringement claims.

Currently a Registered Patent Attorney and Partner at Maschoff Brennan, Huang focuses on developing worldwide patent portfolio strategies and has handled portfolios for major Silicon Valley and other high-tech companies. He also has experience in patent litigation, including technical discovery, drafting briefs, and pre-suit infringement and validity analysis.

Huang is admitted to the State Bar of California, the D.C. Bar, and is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, an M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Washington State University, and a B.E. in Materials Science & Engineering from Shanghai JiaoTong University.
