Lexie White

Lexie White is a highly accomplished patent litigator and partner at Susman Godfrey, known for her trial-first approach in complex technology disputes. Her practice primarily focuses on high-stakes patent infringement cases across various technology sectors, including telecommunications, wireless standards (such as LTE, 3G, and 4G), cellular networking equipment, and mobile commerce. She also possesses significant experience in software, digital media, and advertising technology litigation, as demonstrated by her work in cases involving online behavioral targeting and internet advertising infrastructure. White has served on Susman Godfrey's Executive Committee for over a decade.

White maintains a balanced practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in patent litigation. She has a strong track record of securing substantial victories for plaintiffs, including multiple jury verdicts exceeding $100 million. Notably, she served as lead trial counsel for 3G Licensing and Orange, S.A., securing a unanimous Delaware federal jury verdict against HTC Corporation for infringing two LTE wireless standards patents, with the jury awarding a significant per-unit royalty rate and finding willful infringement. She also led the team that obtained a jury verdict for Koninklijke KPN N.V. against Ericsson for over $100 million in damages for telecommunications networking equipment patent infringement, including a finding of willful infringement and ongoing royalties. Additionally, White successfully represented Sky Technologies in a $70 million patent licensing campaign against various defendants, including SAP, Siemens AG, and Microsoft.

On the defense side, White regularly leads the successful defense of claims, including those seeking billions in damages. Her experience includes representing Visa Inc. as lead counsel in patent infringement litigation brought by Cortex MCP, Inc., involving mobile-wallet platform and tokenization technology. This case saw Visa, her client, initiating multiple inter partes review (IPR) petitions at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) challenging Cortex's patents, leading to a stay of the district court proceedings. She was also involved as Of Counsel for the plaintiff in AlmondNet, Inc. et al. v. Roku, Inc., a dispute concerning patents related to internet advertising infrastructure.

White earned her law degree from Louisiana State University Law School in 2004, where she graduated at the top of her class. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas.
