Kyril Talanov

Kyril Talanov is an intellectual property attorney with a focus on patent litigation and inter partes review (IPR) proceedings, primarily representing operating companies in-house. His practice emphasizes technologies within the chemical and energy sectors, drawing on his background as a process engineer in the energy business.

Currently, Mr. Talanov serves as Senior IP Counsel at Topsoe, Inc.. In this role, he has actively represented Topsoe, Inc. as a petitioner in IPR proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including TOPSOE, INC. v. L'Air Liquide SA pour l'Etude et l'Exploitation des Procedes Georges Claude (IPR2025-01174), which involves a patent related to hydrogen production and carbon dioxide separation. He has also appeared on behalf of Topsoe, Inc. in Topsoe, Inc. v. Casale SA (IPR2025-01455), concerning syngas processes and CO2 reduction technologies.
