Krish Gupta

Krish Gupta is a highly experienced in-house patent litigation attorney, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Litigation & Intellectual Property at Dell Technologies. His practice primarily involves defending operating companies against patent infringement allegations, including those brought by non-practicing entities (NPEs) or "patent trolls." He has consistently appeared on the defendant side in patent disputes.

Gupta's career has been rooted in the technology sector. Prior to joining Dell, he was the Senior Vice President & Deputy General Counsel at EMC Corporation, which was later acquired by Dell. Earlier in his career, he served as in-house IP counsel at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). With a background in electrical engineering, his practice areas encompass a broad range of technology, including data storage, cloud computing, backup and recovery systems. He has also advised on open-source issues and participation in standards-setting organizations.

He has been a vocal advocate for U.S. IP policy reform, testifying before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on the impact of abusive patent litigation practices, highlighting EMC's experience in defending over 30 unmeritorious patent lawsuits without being found to infringe. The cases he oversees include complex patent infringement matters such as Atlas Global Technologies, LLC v. Dell Technologies, Inc. et al. Furthermore, Krishnendu Gupta (also identified as Krish Gupta) has demonstrated direct involvement in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) on behalf of Dell Inc. and Dell Technologies Inc.
