Kerri Braun

Kerri Braun is a seasoned intellectual property professional with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as Senior Corporate Counsel, AI/ML, Trade Secrets, and Data Strategy for Cisco Systems, Inc.. Her practice focuses on safeguarding innovation, managing data strategy, and minimizing risk in emerging technology areas, particularly artificial intelligence and machine learning. Her expertise also encompasses broader intellectual property matters, including trade secret protection programs, copyright, patent and trademark prosecution, and license agreement negotiations.

Throughout her career, Ms. Braun has primarily operated on the defendant side, representing companies in an in-house capacity. Prior to her current role at Cisco, she was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for IP and Litigation at Kids2, a global manufacturer of infant and toddler products. She also served as Group Intellectual Property Counsel for the ANDRITZ Group, an international technology group headquartered in Austria. Before moving in-house in 2011, Ms. Braun practiced with law firms in Atlanta, including as an Associate at Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieske and a Senior Associate at Smith, Gambrell & Russell LLP.

A notable aspect of her in-house litigation experience includes her involvement in the "XRT Oball litigation" at Kids2, where she contributed to a successful outcome.
