Keegan M. Caldwell

Keegan M. Caldwell is the founder and Global Managing Partner of Caldwell Law (formerly Caldwell Intellectual Property Law), a firm he established in 2016. Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, the firm also maintains offices in Los Angeles and London. Caldwell's patent litigation practice focuses heavily on high-technology sectors, including smart eyewear, software, semiconductors, and life sciences. He advises clients on patent strategy, portfolio development, and monetization, and has assisted in developing patent portfolios valued at over $24 billion.

In his litigation work, Caldwell has represented plaintiffs in patent infringement disputes. He is currently lead counsel for Solos Technology Limited in a significant patent infringement lawsuit against Meta Platforms, Inc. and EssilorLuxottica SA, concerning smart eyewear technologies used in Ray-Ban Meta products, where Solos is seeking billions in damages and an injunction. Caldwell Law's litigation group also has experience with various post-grant proceedings, including reexaminations and reviews before the Patent Office.

Prior to founding Caldwell Law, he gained experience as a patent advisor at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC and as a registered patent agent for Merritt & Merritt & Moulton. He has been recognized as a leading patent practitioner by IAM Patent 1000 in 2024 and 2025, and both he and his firm were acknowledged in Patexia's 2026 Patent Prosecution Intelligence Report for strong performance across diverse industries and technologies.

Caldwell holds a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from George Washington University. He is admitted to the Vermont Bar and is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
