Kecia Reynolds

Kecia Reynolds is a prominent patent litigation attorney and a partner in the Intellectual Property practice at Paul Hastings, where she leads the firm's ITC Section 337 Investigations practice from the Washington, D.C. office. With over 20 years of experience, she is an experienced trial lawyer known for litigating cases before the International Trade Commission (ITC), U.S. district courts, and the Federal Circuit. While her tracked appearances include a defense role in Trina Solar v. Adani Green Energy Ltd. et al., her practice encompasses representing both complainants and respondents in patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition matters.

Ms. Reynolds specializes in a broad range of technical fields, including consumer electronics, networking equipment, semiconductors, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, chemical materials, and mechanical devices. Her notable cases include obtaining an Exclusion Order for complainants in an ITC investigation involving medical device patents and securing an Exclusion Order for Sleep Number, alongside a successful inter partes review (IPR) challenging claims found to infringe in a corresponding ITC case. She also achieved a total victory of no infringement and invalidity for respondent Sigma Designs Inc. and a determination of no violation for ZTE Corp. Additionally, she was part of the Paul Hastings team recognized as "Litigator of the Week" by The American Lawyer for securing a recommended seven-year exclusion order in an ITC trade secret misappropriation case for Viking Therapeutics.

Kecia Reynolds is a registered patent attorney and maintains an active practice before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars. Ms. Reynolds earned her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Miami School of Law in 2000 and holds a B.S. in Biology from Norfolk State University. From 2007 to 2012, she served as a senior investigative staff attorney for the Office of Unfair Import Investigations at the ITC, acting as trial counsel on behalf of the U.S. government.
