Jungyeon Kim

Jungyeon (John) Kim is a patent litigation attorney at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, focusing his practice on intellectual property disputes across various technology sectors. Leveraging over a decade of prior experience as a hardware design engineer, Mr. Kim's practice areas include semiconductors, hardware and software, wireless communications, telecommunications, and standard essential patents. His experience demonstrates a preference for defending operating companies, as seen in his sole tracked appearance.

At WilmerHale, Mr. Kim has represented clients in federal district courts, the US International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. A notable case includes Kangxi Communication Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. v. Skyworks Solutions Inc., where he served as counsel for the defendant. This case, filed in the Central District of California, involved patent infringement allegations related to Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E front-end module (FEM) technology, and was stayed shortly after filing.
