Joshua Jones

Joshua Jones is an attorney with a practice focused on patent litigation at Dickinson Wright. He joined the firm in 2021 as part of an expansion of its intellectual property group.

Jones primarily represents plaintiffs in patent infringement disputes, as evidenced by his role as counsel for Force MOS Technology in the notable case of Force MOS Technology v. ASUSTek Computer, Inc. et al. This case, litigated in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, involved patents related to proprietary transistor designs used in integrated circuits and MOSFET technology for consumer electronics such as notebooks, PCs, tablets, and battery modules.

In Force MOS Technology v. ASUSTek, a jury found willful infringement and awarded Force MOS Technology $10.5 million in damages in February 2025. The court also indicated the possibility of enhanced damages and an injunction against ASUSTek. During the litigation, the defendant filed Inter Partes Review (IPR) petitions challenging two of the asserted patents, though the court denied a motion to stay the district court proceedings pending the IPR outcomes.
