Joshua Gabriel Jones

Joshua Gabriel Jones is an experienced intellectual property litigator and trial lawyer whose practice focuses on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. He has represented companies across various sectors, including telecommunications and amusement parks, in the management and protection of their intellectual property portfolios. His recent patent litigation work primarily involves retail technology, AI-driven retail engagement, and systems for capturing and utilizing consumer and product interaction data.

Jones primarily represents plaintiffs in patent enforcement actions, as evidenced by three plaintiff-side appearances compared to one defendant-side appearance. He served as Lead Counsel and Counsel for Alpha Modus, Corp. in multiple patent infringement lawsuits. These include Alpha Modus, Corp. v. Walgreens et al., a case alleging infringement of smart display and digital retail screen technology, which settled confidentially and was dismissed with prejudice in August 2025. He also represented Alpha Modus in coordinated patent infringement lawsuits against V-Count and Zara USA Inc., asserting patents related to shopper behavior analytics, inventory management, point-of-sale automation, RFID garment tracking, and digital surveillance technologies.

He is currently a Partner at Prince Lobel Tye, having joined the firm in July 2025 as part of a team opening its Austin, Texas office focused on intellectual property litigation. Prior to this, he was with Dickinson Wright, which he joined in July 2021 as part of an expansion of their intellectual property practice. Jones's firm, Prince Lobel Tye, offers services related to Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings.
