Jennifer Wuamett

Jennifer Wuamett is an experienced patent litigation attorney with a primary focus on defending operating companies within the electronics and semiconductor industries. Her career demonstrates a strong emphasis on intellectual property matters for technology companies, stemming from her science background.

Ms. Wuamett currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at NXP Semiconductors N.V., where she was formerly Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, responsible for legal and intellectual property matters worldwide. Her in-house experience also includes serving as General Counsel and Chief Intellectual Property Officer at Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., and Director of Intellectual Property Law at Motorola, Inc. Before her in-house roles, she was an attorney in private practice with Quarles & Brady LLP.

Her patent litigation experience includes defending NXP Semiconductors N.V. in ParkerVision, Inc. v. NXP Semiconductors N.V. et al., a case involving patents related to wireless communication technology. The litigation involved allegations of infringement of three patents and saw NXP file copycat petitions and requests to join inter partes review (IPR) proceedings. The court ultimately granted NXP's motion to stay the district court case pending the PTAB's final written decisions on the IPRs, which were expected in November 2025. This highlights her involvement in patent disputes that incorporate Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings.

Ms. Wuamett earned her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Arizona State University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry and biology from McDaniel College. Her scientific education aids her in understanding complex technology at the heart of her legal practice.
