Jeffrey S. Love

Jeffrey S. Love is a highly experienced patent litigation attorney and a partner at Klarquist, where he has practiced since joining as of counsel in 2000 and becoming a partner in 2005. His practice focuses on a diverse range of technical fields, including software and internet technology, electrical engineering and semiconductors, and medical devices and diagnostics. He has litigated technologies such as online business methods, e-commerce, data and memory functions, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging, gas turbines, gaming machines, and mobile phone features and accessories.

Mr. Love represents parties in patent cases across federal district courts nationwide and has significant experience representing both large, well-known companies like Amazon.com Inc., General Electric Company, and NBC Universal, as well as small and mid-size companies. His tracked appearances include serving as Lead Counsel for the plaintiff in ParkerVision, Inc. v. MediaTek Inc. et al. This case involves allegations of infringement of ParkerVision's wireless patented technologies in semiconductor chips used in smartphones, WiFi, and Bluetooth devices, with the MediaTek trial currently awaiting new dates.

In addition to district court litigation, Mr. Love regularly appears in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and handles appeals from both district court and Patent Office decisions before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. He earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 1987 and a B.A. with Honors in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1984. He is admitted to practice in Oregon (1987) and California (1998), as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal, Third, and Ninth Circuits.
