Jeffrey Ray Bragalone

Jeffrey Ray Bragalone is an experienced patent litigator with a focus on complex intellectual property matters and technology-related cases. His practice encompasses a wide array of technical areas, including semiconductors, liquid crystal displays, database software, cellular communications, wireless networks, memory technology, and predictive text algorithms. He also handles litigation involving Fair, Reasonable, and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) terms and standard essential patents. While his firm, Bragalone Olejko Saad PC, represents both plaintiffs and defendants, Bragalone's tracked case appearances primarily involve representing plaintiff-side patent assertion entities (PAEs).

Bragalone is a founder of Bragalone Olejko Saad PC, a litigation and trial boutique, and was previously a name partner in another Dallas intellectual property law firm and a partner at McKool Smith, P.C. In his tracked cases, he served as lead counsel for Stingray IP Solutions LLC in actions involving wireless networking patents, including Stingray IP Solutions LLC v. Assa Abloy IP AB, which saw a voluntary dismissal without prejudice. Another related case, Stingray IP Solutions LLC v. Allegion Public Limited Company and Schlage Lock Company LLC, was dismissed with prejudice, suggesting a confidential settlement. He also acted as lead counsel for Innovative Display Technologies LLC in patent litigation concerning liquid crystal displays, which resolved favorably for the client. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 1987 and a B.A., with honors, from the University of Kansas in 1984. Admitted to practice in 1987, his bar admissions include the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal, Fifth, Eighth, and D.C. Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts across Texas.
