Jeffrey M. Telep

Jeffrey M. Telep is a highly experienced patent litigator with a prominent focus on Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). Currently a Partner and the head of King & Spalding's Section 337 practice, his work primarily involves defending companies in complex intellectual property and international trade disputes. While his single tracked case, POSCO Co. Ltd. v. ArcelorMittal, was recorded during his tenure at Oblon McClelland Maier & Neustadt, his current practice at King & Spalding represents clients across diverse industries including semiconductors, telecommunications equipment, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotive, and other consumer and industrial goods.

Mr. Telep has been involved in several notable matters, including representing Causam in a patent infringement case and counseling Opella Healthcare Group, as well as Composite Resources and North American Rescue, in patent infringement disputes before the ITC. His litigation experience extends beyond the ITC to include international trade litigation at the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He previously served for six years as a trial attorney with the Civil Division of the Department of Justice, where he was lead counsel in over 75 international trade disputes.

Mr. Telep is recognized for his expertise, having been rated by Chambers and Legal 500 for Section 337 investigations from 2020 to 2026, and by Best Lawyers in America for International Trade and Finance for multiple years.
