He earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1992 and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University, awarded in 1989. He was admitted to practice in New York in 1993 and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 1995.
