James Winn

James Winn is an experienced intellectual property litigator specializing in complex patent, trade secret, and technology-driven commercial disputes. His practice encompasses a broad array of sophisticated technologies, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, semiconductors, smart-home devices, medical devices, fintech platforms, data encryption, video-streaming, social media, and home security systems.

Winn's litigation experience demonstrates work on both sides of patent disputes, with a slight emphasis on defending operating companies. Out of five tracked appearances, he has represented plaintiffs in two cases and defendants in three. Notably, he defended Snapaid Ltd. in actions brought by Unified Patents, an organization dedicated to challenging non-practicing entity (NPE) patents.
