Inge A. Osman

Inge A. Osman is an intellectual property litigation attorney at Latham & Watkins, where she advises domestic and multinational clients on high-stakes patent disputes. Her practice encompasses a broad range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, antibodies, medical devices, semiconductors, liquid crystal display technologies, biometric scanning devices, information technology, and call processing systems. She also possesses notable expertise in standard essential patent matters.

Ms. Osman demonstrates versatility in her practice, having represented both plaintiff and defendant interests in patent litigation. For instance, she acted as counsel for fuboTV Media Inc. in its dispute against DISH Technologies L.L.C., including related IPR proceedings and Federal Circuit appeals. Her representative experience includes successfully leading IPRs that resulted in findings of unpatentability for major technology companies, and securing a jury trial victory for Irving involving non-infringement and invalidity. She also achieved a significant settlement for NETGEAR in a global IP dispute, resulting in a US$135 million award.

A significant portion of Ms. Osman's practice is dedicated to post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), where she is highly active, representing clients both offensively and defensively. She is recognized for her strategic approach to coordinating parallel proceedings between district courts and the PTAB.

Ms. Osman holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and earned her B.S.E. magna cum laude in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. She further honed her expertise through a clerkship with Judge Kimberly A. Moore of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
