Emily Sheffield

Emily Sheffield is an intellectual property litigation attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where her practice focuses on patent infringement and trade secret litigation. Leveraging a background in mechanical engineering, she handles a diverse range of technologies, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, robot technology, AI technology, sportswear, footwear, semiconductor photodetectors, and Wi-Fi 7 technology. Her experience primarily involves defending operating companies, as evidenced by all three of her tracked appearances being on the defendant side.

Based in the firm's Dallas office, Ms. Sheffield contributes to Kirkland & Ellis's prominent patent litigation practice, which is recognized for its work with leading electronics and life sciences clients.
