Elliot Choi

Elliot Choi is an associate in the New York office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, focusing his practice on complex patent litigation, counseling, and due diligence. His experience spans a diverse array of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and consumer electronics. Choi has consistently appeared on the plaintiff side in his tracked cases, with four such appearances and no defendant-side roles.

Currently at Quinn Emanuel, Choi's professional history also includes an appearance as Lead Counsel at Womble Bond Dickinson (US). He was granted leave to appear pro hac vice for Halozyme, Inc. in Halozyme, Inc. v. Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp. et al. in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in August 2025. In a related IPR proceeding, Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC v. Halozyme Inc., he also represented the patent owner, Halozyme.

Choi's practice includes experience with Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings, having represented a patent owner in an Inter Partes Review (IPR). He holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (2017), an M.A. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University (2014), and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University (2012). He is admitted to the State Bar of New York.
