Ehab M. Samuel

Ehab M. Samuel is an intellectual property litigator with a practice focused on patent, trademark, and unfair competition matters. His patent litigation experience encompasses a wide range of technologies, including electronics, computer architecture, software, wireless communications, biomedical devices, and chemical processes, which is informed by his graduate degrees in both electrical and chemical engineering.

Based on the tracked cases, Samuel has represented patent holders on the defense side in district court. However, his broader practice includes plaintiff-side representation, having secured a jury verdict of willful infringement, treble damages, and a permanent injunction for plaintiff dbest products, Inc. in the Central District of California. He has also led trial teams in trademark enforcement actions. His work spans federal district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and appeals.

Samuel is currently a partner at Orbit IP, which he joined after his time at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips. While at Manatt, he represented defendant Ironburg Inventions Ltd. as back-up counsel in patent infringement suits brought by Valve Corporation and Collective Minds Gaming Co. Ltd. He has significant experience in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), having represented patent owner Ironburg Inventions in multiple inter partes review (IPR) proceedings related to its video game controller patents.

Samuel is a member of the State Bar of California and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
