A notable engagement included representing Astellas, Pfizer, and the University of California in litigation covering the prostate cancer drug Xtandi® against numerous defendants. He was also counsel for Nalpropion Pharmaceuticals LLC in a Supreme Court petition denial and argued for plaintiffs-appellees in Insite Vision, Inc. v. Sandoz, Inc. before the Federal Circuit. Venable, with Mr. Conde recognized as a Life Sciences Star for his work, received the Hatch-Waxman Impact Case of the Year Award for its involvement in Novartis Pharmaceuticals et al. v. Breckenridge Pharmaceutical et al.
In addition to district court litigation, Mr. Conde regularly represents clients in contested proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1990 and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1982). He is admitted to the New York bar and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, with admissions to several U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
