David Barker

David G. Barker is a Partner at Snell & Wilmer, where his practice encompasses patent litigation and broader intellectual property disputes. His experience spans a range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, and consumer products. Possessing both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, coupled with his status as a registered patent attorney, Mr. Barker brings a technical background to his patent litigation work.

Mr. Barker represents clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in patent infringement disputes, alongside other intellectual property matters such as trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation. His tracked appearances include representing the plaintiff in Champion Power Equipment Inc. v. Westinghouse Electric Corp. et al. This case, filed in May 2025, involves power equipment, aligning with his engineering background.

Beyond district court litigation, Mr. Barker actively participates in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), indicating experience with post-grant challenges.
