Daniel F. Seitz

Daniel F. Seitz is a patent litigation attorney and Partner at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, based in the firm's Munich office. He is admitted as an attorney at law in Germany and primarily focuses his practice on patent litigation before national German courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). His work encompasses a broad range of patent-related disputes, including preliminary injunction proceedings, patent infringement proceedings before German civil courts, and nullity proceedings before the German Federal Patent Court and the German Federal Court of Justice.

Mr. Seitz specializes in cases involving mechanics and electronics, with extensive experience in semiconductors, computers, and communication technology. Prior to joining Finnegan, Mr. Seitz practiced patent litigation at both an international law firm and a prominent German intellectual property law firm, where he gained experience in complex international patent litigation and SEP disputes. He is admitted to practice before the Unified Patent Court, the Federal Court of Justice of Germany (for appeals in patent nullity proceedings), German District and Higher Regional Courts, and the German Federal Patent Court. He earned his Zweites Staatsexamen Rechtswissenschaften (Law Certificate) from Oberlandesgericht Nürnberg in 2017 and his Erstes Staatsexamen Rechtswissenschaften (Law Certificate) from Universität Regensburg.
