Christopher V. Goodpastor

Christopher V. Goodpastor is a trial lawyer specializing in patent and antitrust litigation, focusing on complex, high-stakes matters. His practice spans various technology areas, including telecommunications, IoT technologies, computer software and hardware, integrated circuits, internet and web services, health care, and medical devices. Mr. Goodpastor's patent litigation experience includes disputes involving data transfer between smartphones and computers, Bluetooth® wireless communication protocols, and camera phone technologies.

Throughout his career, Mr. Goodpastor has primarily represented plaintiffs and patent owners. His two tracked appearances are on the plaintiff side, and he has been recognized by Patexia, Inc.'s IPR Intelligence Report as a top-performing attorney representing patent owners in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings. He also represents businesses and consumers as plaintiffs in antitrust matters.

Currently, Mr. Goodpastor is a Partner at DiNovo Price LLP, where he also heads the firm's antitrust practice. Prior to joining DiNovo Price, he was of counsel at Heim, Payne & Chorush in at least one tracked case and formerly served as Chief Counsel for a publicly traded telecommunications company. His notable litigation successes include securing a jury verdict of infringement and no invalidity against Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. for patents related to smartphone data transfer, as well as obtaining over $40 million in royalties from litigation involving Bluetooth® wireless communication protocols. He also has a strong background in PTAB proceedings, regularly handling inter partes reviews.

Mr. Goodpastor is licensed to practice in Texas and California. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 1994, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990.
