Christopher Ricciuti

Christopher Ricciuti is a patent litigation attorney with a broad focus on intellectual property law, particularly in high-technology, mechanical, electrical, and computer software patents. His experience spans diverse sectors, including streaming media devices, consumer electronics, smartphones, cloud and distributed computing systems, communication protocols, GPS and embedded systems, automotive technologies, oilfield services, medical devices, optics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial designs. With a background as a mechanical engineer, Mr. Ricciuti primarily represents defendants, focusing on defending operating companies against claims of patent infringement and handling patent validity challenges.

Currently a Partner in Duane Morris LLP's Intellectual Property Practice Group, Mr. Ricciuti joined the firm in January 2023, having previously been a partner at Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt, L.L.P.. A notable outcome in his career includes successfully defending Roku Inc. against allegations that its streaming video players infringed Ioengine LLC patents in a trial before Judge Alan Albright in the Western District of Texas, where the jury found no infringement against a $318 million claim. He also secured a complete non-infringement jury verdict for Roku in MV3 Partners LLC v. Roku Inc..

Mr. Ricciuti possesses extensive experience in post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including inter partes review (IPR) trials, having been named as counsel on over 70 individual matters. He is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C., Virginia, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2011, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Drexel University in 2008.
