Bradley Wayne Caldwell is a prominent trial lawyer specializing in high-stakes patent infringement and complex commercial litigation. His practice encompasses a broad range of technology areas, including digital media, telecommunications, displays, computer networking, semiconductors, computer chips, data security, digital imaging, medical devices, enterprise software, banking technology, energy, and oilfield services. While Mr. Caldwell represents both plaintiffs and defendants, his litigation track record primarily features work for plaintiffs, including patent owners and non-practicing entities (NPEs)/patent assertion entities (PAEs), as evidenced by 7 plaintiff-side appearances compared to 2 defendant-side appearances in tracked cases. His case experience also covers a diverse array of technologies and includes other substantial outcomes, such as a $57 million patent infringement verdict for Midwest Energy Emissions Corp. in March 2024 involving mercury sorbent technology, and a $22.4 million verdict for SVV Technology Innovations Inc. against ASUSTeK Computer Inc. in September 2024 for optics and lighting technology. He also helped secure a $150 million settlement for Nanoco Technologies Ltd. against Samsung Electronics Co. On the defense side, Mr. Caldwell has secured complete defense wins, including for World Programming Limited against SAS Institute Inc. in copyright and patent infringement claims.

Mr. Caldwell's practice demonstrates familiarity with Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings, with cases such as SoftView, LLC v. Apple Inc. involving Federal Circuit appeals related to PTAB estoppel decisions, and Greenthread, LLC matters involving Director Review requests regarding PTAB decisions. He is admitted to practice in Texas and New York state courts, multiple U.S. District Courts including the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Ninth Circuits, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law (2003) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University (2000).
