Bradley David Liddle

Bradley David Liddle is a patent litigator with experience representing clients in complex technology disputes. His practice focuses on a range of technical areas including electric vehicle charging systems, software, security, communications, semiconductor, and computer architecture, drawing on his background in aerospace engineering. He has represented both patent owners and defendants in infringement actions and has experience in patent licensing, portfolio management, valuation, and acquisition. In his tracked appearances, Mr. Liddle has primarily represented plaintiffs (2 cases) but has also appeared on the defendant's side (1 case).

Mr. Liddle is currently a patent litigation attorney at Skiermont Derby LLP. Previously, he was a partner at Carter Arnett and later joined Cozen O'Connor as a member in July 2024. His early career included running a patent licensing company and litigating at a boutique firm in Houston.

A prominent aspect of his practice involves the ongoing litigation between Charge Fusion Technologies, LLC and Tesla, Inc. Mr. Liddle represented Charge Fusion Technologies as plaintiff and Tesla, Inc. as defendant in related matters. This dispute centers on patents related to electric vehicle charging systems, including automated charging control and climate-control features. The Federal Circuit recently affirmed a Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) decision in February 2026, upholding Charge Fusion's patent for automated EV charger claims against Tesla's challenge. However, in May 2026, the Federal Circuit also issued a partial win for Tesla in a related matter, overturning a PTAB decision on a climate-control charging patent and invalidating one claim.

Mr. Liddle is active in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings, which have been a significant component of the Charge Fusion v. Tesla litigation. He is admitted to the Texas bar, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, among other federal district courts in Texas. He earned his J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2010 and holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University (2003).
