Andre M. Szuwalski

Andre M. Szuwalski is an experienced intellectual property attorney whose practice encompasses patent litigation, patent preparation and prosecution, and intellectual property validity analysis. His technical expertise spans a range of areas, including electronic systems, semiconductors and integrated circuits, oil and gas drilling tools, electromechanical devices, and wired and wireless communication systems. He assists clients in protecting their intellectual property assets and challenging the validity and enforceability of competitors' IP rights.

Throughout his career, Mr. Szuwalski has largely focused on defending operating companies. His tracked litigation experience includes serving as "of counsel" for the defendant in Orthosie Systems, LLC v. Guidepoint Systems, LLC. His current firm profile indicates a practice that involves assisting clients from large multinational companies to sole inventors in legally protecting their intellectual property.

Currently, Mr. Szuwalski is a Director in the Dallas office of Crowe & Dunlevy, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Prior to this, he was associated with Gardere Wynne Sewell, where he appeared in the aforementioned patent litigation.

In addition to traditional patent litigation, Mr. Szuwalski has experience with post-grant proceedings, including re-examination or Post-Grant Review (PGR) challenges, which are offered as alternatives to litigation. He earned his J.D. from Tulane University in 1990, graduating cum laude, and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mississippi, awarded in 1987. He is a practicing attorney in Dallas, Texas.
