Aaron P. Pirouznia

Aaron P. Pirouznia is a Principal at Fish & Richardson P.C., focusing his practice on complex patent litigation across a broad spectrum of technologies. Leveraging his background as an electrical engineer, he handles cases involving electrical and computer technology, software, internet, hardware, semiconductors, telecommunications, medical devices, and transportation, aerospace & defense. His experience extends to analyzing source code, semiconductor layouts, ticketing software, smartphone applications, and magnetic structures.

Mr. Pirouznia has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in patent disputes. While his tracked appearances show a lean towards defending clients in three out of four cases, his firm profile indicates success in both asserting and defending intellectual property litigation. Tex.), a significant patent infringement lawsuit concerning 3D printing technology, including heated build platforms and force detection systems. He also successfully represented Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. and Volterra Semiconductor LLC in a patent suit involving power supplies and voltage regulators, and secured an early dismissal with attorneys' fees for Mesquite Oil Tools, Inc. in a case concerning oil well technology. Mr. Pirouznia's practice also includes post-grant proceedings such as Inter Partes Review (IPR) and Post-Grant Review (PGR).

Mr. Pirouznia earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2017, where he was Order of the Coif. He holds a B.S. cum laude in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, earned in 2010.
